Answers:    Most home centers similar to Lowe's , Home Depot have smaller sheets, 2'X2' at my local Lowe's. Some lumber yard will carry it or direct for you. You might try local cabinet makers.
Our Lowe's singular stocks Oak and Birch though. The local ( Stillwater Ok. ) lumber yard does fetch Maple.
There is a US chain of stores call Woodcraft supply. They have veneer sheets and rolls within retail sizes. They carry the standard ones and deeply of exotics.
