How long would it take to build a castle?
Answers:
The council will never grant you planning permission!

You'd need a helluva lot of sand for that. I don't think it's practical or sensible.

Probably 10 years. But using our things less than 6 months.
about 2 years but thats my opinion
a sandcastle?? not long
Wimpey or Barrat will throw 1 up for you - in say - a week or so..
Well, to figure modern times, one would use a calculator.
But since you're talking centuries ago, I'd need to get out my abacus....let's see...where'd I put it? I was just figuring out how much dinosaur poop was needed to fill an old cistern....
I'll get back with you on that.
up to 12 years i reckon
if you had that kind of man power and materials in medevil times you would probably hire someone else to figure that out for you-- But lets guess 12 full years with non-stop work, not including decorations and furniture--they had some crazy work skills back then
About 200 years of man hours. Like if there's 200 men then only a year.
check out English Heritage website and see if it gives details for any castles you know of.
Remember that most castles were added to over time.
The first Norman castles were from prefabricated sections of wood - the stone ones came later
i am 105 years old and live in scotland.. over my life span i've had alot of castle building experience.. and let me tell you ...its still not finished! the worst thing is I am stil living in the tent next to the building site of it! I haven't even got a roof on my castle yet..so all the furnishings i purchased for it in 1921 are now ruined and that was in a great IKEA sale! Yes Ikea did exist in 1921... so my friend.. my advice would be not to start castle building..it has been the bain of my life!! And i'm not able to get a boyfriend..i can't exactly say do you want to come back to my tent for coffee!! So imagine.. homeless (kinda) no s*x!! castle building should be avoided at all costs!I hope you have learnt from my own experiences!
10 mins if you got me on a good day ish time travel permitting i.e. no leaves in the time tunnel
In our day it would probably take a couple years. In the medieval days it took a really long time. Even in the later 1800's for instance the 'Neuschwanstein Castle' it took 15 years to build that one, and it was never really finished 'all' the way because the king (King Ludwig II) who was having it built died and never even got to live in it.
A couple of hours on a good day.
40 years, no less, no more
a looooooooooooong time
Depends on if you're Ty Pennington from extreme makeover. Never takes that lot long!
HHHHmmmmmmm.... depends of which cloud you wanna build on I guess !?
Step away from the wacky backy!
