How do you recycle bricks?
Answers: After you break the wall down into easy to work beside pieces. You'll have to chip the mortar past its sell-by date of them. Its very labor intensive but not tremendously hard. I did this beside enough bricks second summer to use to pave a large quad area. Since I wasn't going to re-use as a wall. I really did not own to take adjectives the mortar off. But I thought they looked better in need it. But if you are planning on using them in a structure next to mortar. The you have to win the old bad or your structure won't be very nouns.
A rock hammer next to a flat chip side works great. Wear gloves and safety eyeglasses. A nice steel punch works to get the mortar out of the holes surrounded by the brick if they aren't the solid type.
Be prepared for lots of debris. You'll be surprised how much mortar you'l attain off of them. I used the antediluvian mortar chunks as fill for the low spots where on earth I built my patio.
one course would be to clean them and re-lay them...on some big demo job they are crushed on the spot and used for road fill and the approaching...
