As you can see, you don't hold many answers, this is because the request for information is vague, it make no sense, non return valves are in that for specific reasons, usually to prevent non pottable river from entering the pottable water system, but you don't seem to be to know what they look like, expansion tank don't usually belong to an unvented system without an expansion vessel, nor are they in general mains feed with an expansion container. the unvented boiler you refer to is a mystery, as you don't have a clue what you are looking at, and it is unauthorized for your to mess with the system if it is gas, may I suggest you contact a plumber or heat engineer to clear the fog for you.
Cant grant you anything specific, I fitted a Mains Direct feed hot container a while ago.On the incoming supply there be a pressure regulator, on the tank itself a Safety Valve. On the supply and output of the cistern at the tank within were Vacuum Breakers (the reservoir must never 'see' a vacuum) . Couple that with UK tenet of double check valves on the supply, and you own a system.
