The key to making it look good and last is all in the preparation. You need to etch the surface (open the pours) with a product called muratic acid. Read the directions carefully, and follow them. Stuff is strong. After, rinse really well with water and apply one of two products depending upon if it is covered or not. If it is use a concrete floor epoxy, if not use a concrete stain. Both can be found at a quality paint store like a Benjamin Moore dealer. I've used there products for the exact same thing and they seem to hold up.

At any home improvement store or paint store they do sell concrete stain, in almost any color you'd like. Then all you do is paint it on like paint. They also have a sealer you can put on top.

They have stains at Lowes and Home Depot now that you can use for your garage, but patios as well. I saw a neighbor whom had done this and it worked really nice.
Try the Home Depot.
There is a stain specifically for concrete..
