Answers: Definately use cartridge and compound to fill the joint. This can get really tricky if you;ve never done it beforehand. Just take your time and don't overwork it. It usually take about 3 coats to grasp a decent finish.
As to wallpaper...
Whatever you desire, you MUST prime the drywall after installation to get anyting to stick to it. Make sure that you use a primer that say that it's for use with unprotected drywall. For some time, people hold been using a short time ago regular paint for bare drywall. This doesn't work. It will stick to the article just fine, but will coating right off of the compound. And by the mode, primer is cheaper than regular paint anyway, so just use that!
Yes. I would use a sealer on it prior to paint or tabloid
