I want to install a new post-formed laminate countertop -- you know the countertops that come surrounded by varying stock sized at home depot. The problem is I need a 14 ft. straight run and the longest they come surrounded by is 10 ft. Okay, I know at the pre-mitered corners they have drawbolts surrounded by pre-drilled holes to get a tight fit between the two pieces, but here are no pre-drilled holes and drawbolts on the non-mitered edge. Can I still put 2 straight pieces together? Is it possible to include the drawbolts myself by drilling the holes into the bottom of the countertop? Any other suggestions?
Answers: Yes, there are several kind of connectors that will draw panels together. Lumber yard, home centers, hardware stores may have them, but you may own to buy them online if stores around you don't. Depending on the style, you will probably have to buy a Forsner bit - this cuts a lawfully large diameter hole minus having a long point to break through the laminate

The first answer (c-clamps) usually singular works if you glue or screw strips to the below side of the counter for the clamps to pull on.
Since you can't grasp a full length piece, take steps to choose length to reduce the risk that marine from the sink will constantly be on the joint.
the longest your going to grasp it is 12ft if you order it from a entrepreneur. If your able to why dont you a short time ago use 2 or 3 c-clamps underneath. use silicone in the shared, let it dry afterwards scrape it near an olfa blade
