Do I entail to buy an electric or gas dryer? Please Help!?

Yea it sounds similar to you get to choose... check the smaller pipe is it a steel pipe? if so run with gas they dry better than electrics

Yes, the big black box is for an elecric dryer, and the pipe is a gas queue for a gas dryer. Are you currently a gas customer? If so, how do you feel almost the safety aspect of organic gas?
Just a couple of questions that you might consider.
If the big, big black 3 prong outlet, is bigger than a standard outlet you own an electric dryer hookup.
You MAY also have a gas dryer hookup available - cant update from your description. And you would also have to find out if it is Propane or Natural Gas - because those dryers come from the factory setup for inherent gas but the store or a plumber can add a propane conversion tackle for $15-35 if you need that.
In broad Gas dryers cost less to run than Electric so if you own both hookups available gas costs less.
I"m not going to be too much give a hand here, but I do know that usually gas lines are copper tubes. Atleast in my home they are...but it seem alot of things in my home are set up wierd...so I don`t know I'm just mental. LOL They also usually hold a shut off stopcock, which very okay may be what the faucet looking thing beside a handle is surrounded by your home. Maybe? lol
The black outlet is most likely a dryer receptacle; however, the faucet you are describing could be any water or gas. If it's dampen, you should be able to screw a hose hose onto it; otherwise, the valve should own either a feminine opening or some type of compression connector screwed into it. Another bearing to tell is by looking at the quantity that opens and closes the spout. If it's water, the switch should be round and turn several round to open and close. If it's gas, it should enjoy a small bar resembling object on top the stopcock that you need a wrench to turn it.
If you are still not sure, grasp a rag and hold it contained by front of the valve and narrowly open it. Even if it is gas, you will not agree to enough out to hurt anything. If it is gas, the entity who disconnected it should have put a plug surrounded by it; hence, if you use the electric plug and it doesn't have a plug, I recommend you put one surrounded by it. Code requires it.
I prefer electric over gas for a few simple reasons:
1) no unpredictability on carbon monoxide poisoning
2) easier to repair
3) I like the bearing the clothes feel and smell
Go next to electric. Gas dryers have more things to progress wrong with them and will basis you more headaches.
It does nouns like you enjoy both. I would recommend an electric dryer. The gas dryer IS more efficent but if you ever move you may have to trade the gas one if your new place doesn't enjoy a hook up. Almost every place has an electric but no adjectives have gas hook-ups. Plus electrics are smaller quantity expensive.
sounds like electric to me.Gas dryers are other vented to the outside. due to the certainty they exhaust carbon monoxide.electrical dryers sometimes are vented indoors to recapture the steam.they vent into a bucket with a lint trap.so if duct work vent indoors chances are you own electric.another way to bring up to date is when you turn it on listen do you hear tic,tic,tic and then ignition resembling gas was basically ignited ? or does it basically turn on like its adjectives electric?
seems to me you own the option to use electricity or gas. Have someone conversant to open the alleged gas spout and check. If you choose to use gas and the dryer is in an hutch make sure it have access to combustion air. In my nouns 1 square inch , both high and low, for respectively B.T.U. rating for the dryer. A gas dryer is the most drive efficient when drying your clothes. If you want to buy a gas dryer it does cost more to hook up to the gas supply though. Call the local gas company and ask them nearly the previous tenant, and ask to have them come check it out for you to be sure it is undisruptive. Then price the dryers electric and gas and look at the EER ratings for usage and make an informed conclusion.
