I want to strip paint from my kitchen cabinets and revarnish them?

What products would you suggest to use? Any other helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Formby's is a bit more expensive but it is pretty much "goof" proof and gives good results. It comes with detailed instructions and is design for us, theh non professional.

It would be a lot easier to reface your cabinets. You can reface in one quarter the time it takes to strip and refinish.

Apply a gel paint stripper with brush and let it sit for one hour, wipe off with wet rag. Repeat as needed. Scrape and sand remainder, if any.
My husband and I stripped our kitchen cabinets and I second the Formby's stripper...great stuff. Apply liberally and wait, then scrape off, wipe off. I suggest wearing gloves and a mask to make things more pleasant! After stripping the old paint, then we sanded them. Then we stained them and polyureathaned them. It is a fantastic project and very rewarding, not to mention environmentally a good thing! Have fun and go for it. I think hgtv.com has a lot of great info, maybe look into that.
