HELP! We can't solder a tap onto a copper pipe!?

We were replacing some plumbing shut sour valves surrounded by our basement tonight. We shut adjectives the water bad, drained the pipes where we made cuts to put the shut offs, cleaned the pipes inside and out, consequently soldered the 2 pipes together. One was fine, one leak. So we re-did the one that leaks. We CANNOT achieve it to solder together again. Its being so impossible. The solder at this point isn't even melt when we touch it to the hot pipe, only when it hits the torch. And when the solder melt as it hits the torch, the beaded solder just rolls sour the pipe.

HELP!

Answers:    You have one of three problems.

1. You hold water within the pipes
2. You have pressure surrounded by the pipes (steam)
3. The copper is not clean.

I hold done this for 30 years and have experienced exactly what you are going through.

To complete your position you will need to cut that subsection out and apply new copper pipe to your tap. Open a hose bib somewhere close to where you are working and start out it open. Clean the existing pipes and modern fitting. Apply the flux and install your valve using couplings. Make sure you own the valve widen during this entire process or you may have trouble.

This should complete the duty.

I do except email.
u need flux
