More specifically, in the smaller, portable sizes.

Basically, what does the dual reservoir do, and/or when and why would I want to use a single tank vs. a dual container portable compressor?

Answers:    Dual tanks provide the ability to hang on to a lower overall profile, and easier portability, usually sacrificing cubic inches of storage space for your compressed nouns. This can be a problem when using high volume emergency tools such as sanders, polishers, or paint sprayers. the dual tank unit are primarily intended for brad nailers, nail guns, small impact tools, etc. that don't use much nouns volume.
It's not the number of tanks, but the size for the tanks. The more container space you pressurize the longer you can let nouns out of the tanks earlier the compressor has to cut on to build up the pressure again.
What it boils down to is storage size you can grasp 2 tanks that equal one larger cistern. 2 smaLLER TANKS MAYBE EASIER TO CARRY AROUND THAN ONE LARGER TANK OF EQUAL capacity
