i need to replace a roof turbine vent. the last broke. any idea on hoe i should go about this task?

I have been to every hardware store in my area, the only size i can find are 12". Do they come in other sizes???

a few options exist...

1: Upgrade and install a different type of high efficiency attic fan. These are nice, but a little pricey.

2: Call a heating and a/c shop... they bend, fold, cut and roll sheet metal and can fabricate one for you (or repair the one you have) if you have the dimensions. Shop around because the price will reflect how busy they are...

3: If your existing fan hole in the roof is larger than 12"... patch the hole, seal the hole, cut new hole, cover with a few shingles, and instal what's available. Make sure the flashing is installed correctly so you don't have leaks.

Home Depot And Lowes should carry a few different sizes, And as long as your not scared of hights, Most of the time, With 3 or 4 screws, u can replace it urself.
They must come in different sizes if you have something other than 12" - have someone order it- if you cannot find it.
