My Mom and Dad are having an anniversary today, and I want to do something special without spending money.?
Answers:
I made my dear mother-in-law a "coupon book" one year. She had 12 coupons- one to be used every month. I did things like "pay for an oil change for the car" and such as that. She always enjoyed cashing in her coupons. It helped her financially, as well. You could do the same with low cost/no cost ideas. ""Clean your house", or "Wash your windows"... that sort of thing. It doesn't have to cost any money at all. Be creative. They will be overjoyed by your caring. (Keep the coupons as they turn them in. They will be something to cherish in future.) I commend you for wanting to honor your parents on a glorious occasion. Good luck.

You know it sounds awful, but make them a card. And put a lot of effort into it. They will love it i'm sure.

make a celebriting card and do some house work ect.
My mum and dad just had their 25 anniversary and i didnt have much money at the time so I just got a really pretty picture frame and framed one of their wedding photos (perviously the didnt have any wedding photos in the house my gran has them all??!!)
They loved it and now it takes pride of place in the cabinat.
why not just make them a sign that says I love you always worked for my parents
Just a thought
Why don't you look up the date and see like what the most popular movie, song, etc. was. Kind of like a that day in history thing. May be cheesy but I'd like it.
How about looking through old pictures and do a time line
decoration, with funny phrases or a poem. Start with pictures as babies and through today. I have done this and put the pictures on a garland with small Christmas lights
and draped it over a hutch. Had a lot of fun with it. Hope this helps.
Cook them a nice dinner and have candles lit. Be the chef and waitress, then let them have a quiet romantic meal. Or of you really wnat to be crafty instead get some photos of them that aren't displayed and they wouldn't mind being used, then cut them out and make a little collage or something.
Write them a poem or a letter telling them how much they mean to you.
so are mine!! make a frame out of card with room for a photo for them (wedding if you can get one) and room for a little photo of you and any siblings you have. look up stuff like what their names mean, what their star sign characteristics are, what your names mean and your star sign characteriscs. put the main photo in the middle towards the top, and you and your siblings underneath. put their names above their photo and their meanings in a lighter colour. do the same abouve you/ your siblings. put the star sign stuff along the sides.
if you can find a big old frame, and some keepsakes from their wedding (napkins/invitations/cards) cut the card to fit the frame and cut spaces for all those bits as well as the photos.
whatever you do, i'm sure they'll love it!
What about a powerpoint with pictures of their life on it. It would be meaningful and a keepsake.
there is something better than that
close your eyes...(not now)
breath slowly. think what you are doing
wish your mom and dad have a good lifetime with all your love and determine you will never hurt them at least with a word enjoy yourself and tell your mom n dad what you did
