A lot of garden centers have end of spring & begining of summer sales on. Invest in good looking colorful ones to set in between your existing plantings. If you don't have the time to plant them; just set them out in their containers. No money wasted if you get them in the ground after the party is over.
If it's a late afternoon into evening kind of party; you might consider tiki torches to fill with bug-repellant oil. Light them before dusk to help with pesky mosquitoes & the light adds some atmosphere. Add candles to your tables. String patio lights on your umbrella on patio tables or from taller bushes.
