How do i get my ice maker to fill it's tray, it has stopped doing this at the end of it's cycle?

I removed the ice maker and it seems that after it warmed up and was replaced into the freezer it signaled the water inlet valve to send water. After this initial success, the ice maker no longer signals or at least no water is being sent to the tray on the next cycle. Does the thermostat need to be replaced ?

Answers:
If this is the type of ice maker that has a metal rod that hangs into the ice bin, be sure the rod is not stuck in the UP position. Push it down. When stuck in the UP position it makes the ice maker think the ice bin is full.

Most likely, frozen water is clogging the tubes. Take the ice maker out again, defrost it, place it back in the freezer and let it get frozen before you try to make ice again by flipping the handle up.
