The same method the Egyptians used to make sure the bases of their pyramids were square. 3,4,5 If one leg of a triangle is three feet, another is four feet, and the hypotenuse is five feet, then the intersection of the three and four foot legs is a perfect right angle (90 degrees). This works with any multiples. You can use 15 feet , 20 feet, and 25 feet. Just remember if you have a 25 foot tape measure, you'll ruin it if you pull it all of the way out to 25 feet.
