what is the home remedy to get rid of spiderwebs in the basement?

there's a book out with home remedies for doing all types of things in your home generically, if someone knows what I'm talking about please submit name of book also.

I think you are talking about Myles Bader - 1001 secrets to a pest free property. IMO the book is a waste of money. Poor layout hard to find anything useful.
Spiders are good, but you have to control them. The best thing to do is sweep or shop vac the webs each week.
