How do you piggy back an outlet to another outlet?
Answers:
if they r in the same box, then just take a black wire to the same color post as the one that is hot now, and a white wire to the same color post as the one that is not.....this is called a pig tail .......if new outlet is not in the same box, after installing wire from new outlet to old outlet, take black wire off of hot outlet and wire nut the 2 blacks together with a third pig tail black, attach the pig tail back to the old outlet on the same screw it came off of...do the same to the white wire....connect the grounds and ur done......be sure u cut off and test the power is off before starting......
