Is there any way I can remove 5cm (2") scratches from my glass tabletop without actually replacing the glass?

I'd rather not purchase a new table top as this one is still fine. Would really like to remove the scratches myself though... has anyone heard of any new products on the market for this? I'm in Australia. Thanks very much.

You can try that stuff they make for scratched eye glasses. Or clear finger nail polish. Just apply it over the scratch then buff it out with a cottonball dabbed in finger nail polish remover.

if you can get an automotive machine buffer you can remove it with polishing compound, you can even use tooth paste

A super-fine polisher (hand method) should do the job, though you will never get the original sheen. Better leave it as it is or u will regret later for having lost the originality.
