what is an easy way to strip old paint off spindles...theyre such a pain!?

Ive spent hours stripping and there is still lots of paint in the grooves. Im getting anxious to get this done and bored with the project...please help. I took a refinishing course once and we used a liquid the ate the paint off...anyone know what that would have been? You applied it with a steel wool pad and it worked great! THANX

Go Home Depot and ask for paint stripper. That will do it.
like you did before but use a jell WIRE BRUSH unless very fine will damage the wood and you will have to sand and sand ( use a JELL PAINT STRIPPER) jell is easier than liquid because it stays in place
wire brush on a drill
you could just paint over it
go to the hardwhere store near you and ask for paint remover
They make this stuff called Strip-Eaze or Klean strip that can be painted on or sprayed on that will work to get most of the paint off, and then you can scrap, sand, or powerwash off the product. Read the instructions this stuff burns if it get on your skin.
cmdogg 38 has it with Peel Away as it does not give off harmful fumes and is used by many historical restoration projects.
