the best way to get rid of hornets, wasps and bees without getting stung is to use a spray. Of course you may not want to use a bug spray inside your home.
To keep them from comming in in the first place requires that you find out where they are nesting and destroy the nest or seal up your home.

there are a few different ways of doing this. the best way is to get a trap it looks like a 2 l pop bottle works and you just toss it after find out where they are coming from. that is the most important thing. do not touch the nest when you have found it. wait till night fall to do it and find a way to do it with out injuring yourself. best bet take pics and go to a local Home Depot talk to someone in the seasonal dept they can get you what you need to get rid of it...
a can of wd 40 and a lighter is a handy solution to bringing those suckers outta the sky when theyre attacking.

Try to deal with them at night or when it is cool outside as they will be less active. Use commecial spray for areas in which you see them outside possibly building nests. We had a similar problem and you really want to make sure they are not making hives in your walls. You may want to take a look outside your home at any holes as well.
find the nests and spray with raid at night
