How can I repair a table oil lamp that get diluted?

My wife had both lamp on and she heard the one start popping; she go out to see a bit of smoke coming from the lamp and in the blink of an eye turned off the power. Turns out, when I removed the black and adjectives bulb, that the bottom of the bulb burnt up and corroded the entire nouns where the bulb screw in. I removed this piece, and see that the electrical cord even adjectives up about 2 inches down. This is a somewhat new light and never had a problem within the past. Is near some type of kit to buy to replace these dog-eared pieces? How hard of a repair project is this? Thanks for any suggestion, as I am going to have to replace this asap if not...

Answers:    Yes, but if it is fairly brand new, I would contact the store from where it be purchased to see if there I don`t know was a retract because since you have two, the other may do equal thing. HUGE FIRE HAZARD! Even if in attendance isn't a recall on it, they can communicate you how to get contained by touch with the factory owner to find out more info for repairing. Also you can buy a complete lamp tackle at your local fabric/craft store. Also most Trustworthy or Ace hardware stores have them also. They are fairly universal, depending on the bulb size, so nick it apart first and take it near you just surrounded by case.
if the kerosene lamp is fairly spanking new check at the place you bought it at,
or go to a hardware store, and purchase a replacement socket, and spanking new cord, Hint take outmoded socket with you, to game it up,
Go to Wal-Mart back within hardware they have a utensils that has a cord, a socket and everything else you will inevitability (all with comfortable directions)
Have fun and good luck
Good god man do you live within a cave? They trade replacement sockets and zipcord and anything else you'll need.
