How do you do this?
Answers:
I'm assuming you don't have access to an autoclave. You can try soaking them for 10 minutes in a 10% bleach solution.

Depends on what material it is made from. If it is stone or metal. you could treat with boiling water. If it is wood, it is better to use something that will not warp the wood or remove the sealant on it. Maybe rubbing alcohol?
immerse in boiling water and let it air dry
Put it in boiling water for at least 5-7 mins and in the meantime have some good alcohol for yourself.
If you have access to an autoclave, that would be the way to go. You would put it into a steri-pak bag (used for autoclaving intstruments and items) before going into the autoclave, and then it would be sterile until used. Boiling water for 20 mins. would be ok too, but wouldn't necessarily completely sterilize.
