Go to State of Texas site and get the exact measurements of the flag, I think that it is 1/3 blue and 2/3 stripe and the stripe dimensions is the same as the up and down. Crochet about 30 or 40 stitches for 3 or 4 rows, measure, and that will give you the number of stitches per inch you do. Figure out how long and wide you want it and then divided it up .
