How do I remove spilled paint from hardwood floors?
Answers:
Depends on how much paint and if the floor has a gloss finish on it. Sometimes you can just use a scrub sponge and soapy water if it has a nice gloss finish on it. If not, Jasco works great at taking off paint (and other finishes it comes into contact with). Also you can use a sander. You will have to re seal the wood after you use a sander or jasco. Good Luck

if it is already dried you can scrape it off..... but it will mess up the finish.....
if it is still wet, you should be able to wipe it up

Use fingernail polish remover.
If it's acrylic or latex paint, try peeling it, when it's dry. If it's neither, you can't.
scrap it off, then use fine sand paper to sand the area smooth and a little varnish and walla your in like flinn
1. You need to determine if the paint is water base or oil base.
2. On the paint container it should say "clean up with..." If it says "soap & water", start with water. If it's too dried, use denatured alchohol and a toothbrush or scrub brush and wipe with a clean terry cloth.
3. If it says "turpentine", try that, but be careful of lifting the varnish on the wood.
4. You may want to reseal the treated surface area after you remove the paint.
Good luck!
If it is dry and set. A steam cleaner works like taking off butter.
If it is not dry and set, you can use hot soapy water and your fingernail to scratch it off.
If it is a large area, use a product available at the local hardware store.
Cheap and effective.. Charcoal Lighter Fluid... works every time ;)
