my fire alarm is buzzing, there is no fire and we have chaneged our battries.what should we do?
Answers:
I assume you are talking about a stand alone smoke detector and it is not wired to any other detectors.
If that's correct, it's possible that it's just dirty. Try using some canned air to blow it out or use a vacuum attachment to remove the dust.
If that doesn't do it, I think I'd just replace the unit. Most stand alone battery operated units can be replaced for about $10.

Burn IT!
invite the person how assemble it
get a new one.
If it's defective it's no use.Renew it
But yourself a new one. Go to Bunnings...they're pretty cheap!
Try blowing on the round silver thing inside the alarm. Dust can buid up in there and cause the alarm to sound.
hit the reset button if you just installed new batteries.
clean the sensor
is this a fire alarm or smoke alarm? like others had said try blowing it out with (clean) compressed air. maybe this is an insect nest or something in it. the test button only shorts the battery to the buzzer.... it does not test the device inside which detects smoke. that must be tested with smoke or an aerosol product designed to test smoke detectors. just replace it. they are 6-7 dollars or so
