After pressure washing to you have to put anything else on before staining it with an oil base stain?

Ok, 1st, its fine to just stain right away, that way the wood will be dry and able to soak up the stain. Make sure the wood is try and that the stain seeps in. The wood should soak it up when staining. Also, you want to stain with a brush, and NOT a roller. Using a brush will make it last longer because the stain is worked in better. As far as stain to use, i would recommend CWF which stands for Clear Wood Finish. They had stains that arent clear, thats just the name. Its the lightest Oil Based Stain. IF you are going to stick w/water based, I usually use Sherwin Williams Stain. Woodscapes, or Deckscapes are pretty good. Also, doing 2 coats really is what you should do if it hasnt been stained before or if its been over 5 years. You can stain it as soon as it dries. If you have a large deck try and stain it all in one session so that you have an even job and it wont show start and stop points. I usually try and do my staining early in the morning so that it is still comfortable outside.
