Kit. cabs.feeble and painted beside laytex. want to reface near formica what sensitive of adheasive do i use?

Answers:    Use contact cement. Apply a thin branch to both the cabinets and to a piece of plastic laminate (Formica) i.e. slightly larger than the piece of cabinet. Allow the adhesive to dry to the point that touching the cement with your finger will not stick to your finger. Carefully place the plastic laminate on the surface and any roll with a pressure roller or thump with a rubber sledge hammer. Be careful here, once you place the two together you can not reposition the laminate. Trim the laminate beside a trim router.
roughen up the surface and use contact cement specifically made for formica.
Strip, refinish color your choice. Formica is "old hat" and will produce cabinets further antediluvian.
First you must remove the paint, the adhesive ( call contact cement ) used to apply plastic laminate, ("Formica" is a brand name) will soften the paint and impose the plastic to loosen and come off.
