where can I buy a swag kit for a ceiling fan?
Answers:
The hardware stores have them. Home depot and Lowes both do in the lighting department in white, gold, bronze.
Other answers:
You cannot swag a ceiling fan. Use a product called wiremold. Install the first box around the closest outlet to where you want the switch. Then run up to a second box and install the switch or not if you only plan on using the chains, then install the third box on the ceiling where the fan is to go all the while running the wiremold between each box. then pull your wires through the wiremold and wire it all up. make sure the ceiling box is located on a ceiling joist. Draw it all out with approximate measurements and take it to home depot and they will get you all the parts you will need. Of coarse it is not as cute as the "swag" idea but a whole lot safer.
I would also recommend hiring a professional licensed electrician to perform this work. They carry liability insurance.
