Old Singer sewing gadget Mdl. 301 Can anyone enlighten me how to remove the shuttle?
Answers: Just found this site showing a Singer Model 301. If this is yours, It looks like you fold up the extension "flooring" at the vanished of the needle and the shuttle/bobbin should be contained by there. There most potential is a gripper of sorts to keep everything within place. Slide that out of the way and the bobbin out (might also bring the complete shuttle out with it as well). Take write down of the correct positioning it was contained by and then you can replace it, doing the reverse steps.
