Answers:    Standard concentration in mm are 12.5, 19, 25, 32, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150 etc. Similar for widths surrounded by pretty much any combination - some sizes eg 50x100 more commonly avaible than others. Lengths tend to be multiples of 0.9m thus 1.8, 2.7, 3.6, 5.4 metres.

Section sizes are for sawn softwood and are nominal if they are Planed All Round (PAR) they will be correspondingly smaller. Hardwood tends to be smaller quantity standardised paricualrly for fine work.
