My daughters remote control to her tv started to smoke when she was using it this morning. She said she could just hold it in her paw it was so impossible. She finally managed to throw it outside. Scary to right to be heard the least. Does anyone know what would bring this? The batteries be almost new.
Answers: There is a short within the remote, or there be a bad freestyle that shorted internally. A battery will bring back hot enought to start a fire if left unnoticed.
Try trial batteries, but go the remote outside for a few hours to see if it heats up again. If so, the remote is bleak, if not it be the battery.
