Cheap peel & stick = cheap floor.
try some of the close out discount stores or a store going out of business.
Family dollar and dollar general have them so does a store called Deals
Ocean State Job Lots, WalMart, Family Dollar, Lowes, Home Depot, Big Lots.
sometimes you will find them at the family dollar store. I think like ten dollars a box.
sorry, but all the answers are sorta wrong. Home Depot for 39 cents per 12" tile. They were right in that they will not last SO you need to get them from a place where you can get more(probably lots more) buy a couple extra boxes. To figure sq. footage: if garage is square or rectangular then multiply one wall length by an ADJONING wall's length. This gives you the sq. fottage. multiply this figure by 1.1 or 1.25 to get the number of tiles you will need. This depends on how many mistakes you make and actuial size of floor. after you've figured this figure. that's when you add 1 or 2 boxes. you want to go to a place where you are assured of getting all the tiles you need and of being able to buy replacements.
IMPORTANT POINT!! ANY blemish in the floor will show through in the tile. you need to remove any high spots and fill in any booboo's before you lay tile. unless you don't mind them showing.
i would rethink your plan. peel n stick vinyl tiles are the worst flooring you could use. even if you get them cheap, you are throwing away your cheap money. if it is ease of installation you are looking for and less expense, i suggest you look for lay down vinyl sheet flooring. simply lay it down or if you want you can use perimeter double tape. will serve same purpose as vinyl tiles. i know Home depot carries it. good luck!!
Any improvement on a garage floor is great as far as I'm concerned. Go out on Friday or Saturday morning and check out all the garage sales in your area - my husband and I get all kinds of home improvement items (brand new in the box) for pennies on the dollar at garage sales. It may not be the exact style or color you're looking for but it IS the garage and I guarantee, when you find it at a garage sale, the price will be right.
Well.....Hymie...I told you to use cloth tape ..it is the cheapest floor covering and comes in 12'' width....you can do zig zag patterns and it is soooo cheap!! The 'PEEL AND STICK " has a life span of 3 weeks the cloth tape should last around 12 years and cost about 12 cents a square foot to buy. I do cloth tape flooring for a small labor charge of $12 a sq.ft. plus mileage. I do give SENIOR citizen discounts and bigger discounts to divorcees if they "need a friend" I actually met my 3rd ex wife installing cloth tape flooring in her 8ft wide trailer...
its not recomended that you put peel and stick tiles in your garage if you are driving on them. they will not hold up well. Plus your looking for cheep ones at that and they will last no time at all. they are very thin and brittle. I would go to a paint store and look into a epoxi for your garage floor. it will hold up under car use and whatever you throw at it. I know they sell this stuff at Home Depot, but can't remember the name of the product. But if your not using your gagage for a garage then go ahead and use peel and stick tiles, just clean the floor with TSP first.
