How flexible must tile cement resting on heated concrete be?
I have hear some folks say that any flexible sticky stuff will work fine - and others have said it must be "specially for heated tiles".
The longest dimension in need a break will be 270 cm - so there should hopefully not be too much "cumulative" movement. (upstairs bathroom, upstairs landing, little fund bedroom, downstairs WC are the areas all one done)
I ask because the difference in price of the glue is huge (or is in the UK anyway). If I must use the "heated tile adhesive" to acquire decent energy from the tiles I will - but if someone in the trade know that this is overkill and "any flexible adhesive" will do perfectly very well, then I would really approaching to know.
The "special heated-tile adhesive" is about three times dearer than the regular flexible sticky stuff - or is in my local tile shop anyway :)
Many gratefulness

Answers: Hi Mark,
Living in the states we install deeply of radiant floors with the rope method. A simple polymer based thinset will do merely fine. heat doesn't adversely affect the performing of the setting material. Flexibilty is one and only an issue if you think the entire slab will move. ( not likely) You only just need a thinset that will stick to concrete.
Hi Mark, I live in Ontario,Canada. I own installed many tiles. We here enjoy also many adhesive and I always use the one explicitly in the middle surrounded by price range. When I be living in Portugal we other yous sand & cement for adhesive.
