Cutting My Grass is Healthy why?
The common thing i read is to cut the lawn often...but the reasons for it are always vague and only says it is good for the grass.. I dont get it...It is like saying decapitating a Red Wood 1000 year old tree makes it happier and healthier. I dont get it.

First, you have to ask yourself WHY! Why does a person have a lawn with GRASS in the first place? Usually it is because it looks NICE. In order for it to remain looking NICE, it must be cut (manicured). If the grass is allowed to continue growing on it's own without being mowed, it will GO TO SEED & look terrible. At this point is also becomes a fire hazard & a health hazard, as many insects will be using this grass to use as a bedding for their eggs, etc. GRASS IS NOT A TREE & NEVER WILL BE!

Think of it as trimming your hair...by trimming doesn't it make the ends stronger? The answer would be yes. And I have always heard that if you mow it different directions each time you do it..it makes it thicker. The grass...not your hair. Besides, when you keep it mowed it's easier to step over the dog poo. And once again I am talking about your grass...not your hair!!
