I never done this before. But does anyone know how to tell me step by step on how to change a lawnmower blade?
Answers:
Safety first! Remove the ignition key. And it wouldnt hurt to take the negative (black) cable off of the battery.
Raise the deck to the highest cutting depth. (this brings the deck up closer to the mower body, giving you slightly more room underneath)
Try tilting the mower to one side, and putting some jack stands under the mower, or blocks under the raised wheels. (A car jack comes in handy to raise the mower, if you cannot lift it) I like to use concrete blocks, but you can also use pieces of stacked lumber.
Now, its time to grab a wrench. The mower blade is held in place by a nut, at the center of the blade. Since most riding mowers use a "keyed" blade, you can simply hold onto the blade itself (wear a glove, or wrap it in a rag, so you dont cut yourself), to provide leverage, so you can undo this bolt. Usually, there is a washer between the blade and the nut too. Note, a 'keyed' blade, means there is a notch at the hole of the blade where it fits over the spindle, and the blade will only fit one way. Might look something like this... O=
Once you have the old blade off, put the new one on...making sure youve got it 'right side up'. Remember where the cutting edge was on the old one? Put the new one on just like the old blade was. Slip the washer back over the bolt, and tighten the nut. Many riding mowers have 2 blades, so just repeat the same steps with the second blade.
One additional note... many mowers, use nuts that turn the opposite direction, than 'normal' to keep them from spinning off, while the mower is in use. Just look at the spindle threads, and you can see which way you need to turn the nut, to loosen it.
After you have the blade(s) changed, lower the mower, and reattach the battery cable... you're good to go!
=D Have fun

i spent a bit of time trying to find a web site and this is all I could find. I hope this helps. WCI is the Ranch kings maker and the tractor was only sold at Farm and fleet stores as far as i can tell. The company should be able to send you a manual if you do not have one. Or should be able to fill you in on how to change the blade.

thewrangler gave a excellent answer...
they do sell blade stops for the blades, some use a angled piece of wood. Even though they will be new blades.... make sure they are balanced... a nail in a post, hang it by the hole and check for evenness is the simplest way. Take the key out and pull the spark plug wire... just as precaution.
