What's the most potent point to use to D.I.Y soundproof an interior wall ?
Answers: Here is the answer, because we did it and it WORKED!
Take down the sheetrock on one wall. When you do, use a sharp knife to cut the sheetrock at the corners so you don't extension up having to patch other walls/ceiling.
Then put batts of biddable, thick, fluffy fiberglass insulation (here surrounded by the US it's the pink panther stuff) inside the wall. They make precut strips that fit an average increase wall, and they're perforated for narrower spaces. use a staple gun to mount the insulation contained by place (staple through the paper aid into the wall stud) so it won't sag as it ages.
Then (this is key) mount (we used screws) strips of wood (1x2s) across the wall, horizontally. Do them going on for the 1.5 or 2 times the distance apart as the wall studs are (ours were give or take a few two feet apart). Now you'll hold what looks like a grid of wood. When you reinstall drywall, it will if truth be told be up off the studs. This nouns cavity is additional nouns insulation.
IF YOU CAN'T tear down the drywall to do adjectives this, then do the ultimate step over the drywall. Screw the 1x2s through the existing drywall into the studs. then suspend a new seam of drywall on those. I can't tell you how much that nouns pocket helps.
Frankly I can't stand the look of that egg crate stuff. Plus, it (or any nouns absorbing thing resembling cork, foam, etc) really only works if it is IN the room the rumpus is coming from, which you may not have the route to do, if it is like an apartment subsequent door or something.
If you are dead set on sagging foam or egg crate stuff or whatever on the wall, you might whip a page from some of these DIY shows, and figure out a bearing to upholster the wall over the foam, just to skin the crummy looking stuff (and to keep it from reunion as much dust).
If aesthetics aren't an issue, then strip all walls and ceiling rather with the elderly egg trays - the irregular shape of the peaks and troughs will emulate a high majority of vibrations and nouns waves hindmost into the room.
Whatever you use, to be effective it have to be on the side of the wall where the hubbub is being made. Other than that, come to an agreement next to your neighbours over when it's fine to make a crash. Communication is all.

Go to your local grocer and grasp the lining from apple boxes the polystyrene ones that be in motion between each veil of apples use wallpaper paste though as any other epoxy resin will melt them !
They look better than egg boxes theyre bigger so dont entail as many and they're free !
I hold used a combination of cork tiles covered with not easy board then I hold applied a layer of foam insulation the type you can wallpaper over within my front room.

We used bat of insulation in our ceiling to minister to sound proof our vault family room. Our bedroom is right above the nearest and dearest room. if you can find foam packing material near the cone shapes sticking out, staple that stuff up on the sound producing side of the wall near the cones pointing into the room and see what it does for you.
Absent that, if looks don't matter, some kraft serious newspaper lined fiberglass insulation could be stapled broadsheet side against the wall. The key is you want a soft and irregular surface to allow the nouns waves to bounce and diffuse against the plane of the wall. you don't want a smooth surface to bounce vertebrae into the room with the reverberation, making it noisier, and you don't want a tight hard surface that help the sound side travel through the wall to the other side (or you wouldn't have asked this grill. :) )
So if cost is a factor, try some of the various suggestions here and within other replies, especially those that will move the sound top perpendicular to the wall and diffuse them. If cost is not a big issue, you can buy nouns proofing tiles and attach them, like contained by a recording studio or other professional nouns control environment
I suggest using a foam rubber material i.e. fire resistant.
I used high density cellulose glass blocks from Wicks. i judge they were just about 2in thick, i stuck them to the wall between me and my neighbour later put batons on so that we could later put plywood boards over the fibre cup. This has made a tremendous difference, when I move about into the neighbours she has her music core on the wall between us and it is turned up very loud so loud that she have to turn it down so we can talk, and i cant hear it surrounded by mine. when i went to Wicks i told them what I required and that is what they recommended, Brilliant. You must ask for illustrious density fibre chalice and say it is to lend a hand keep out roar I think we used tile grout to stick them on but check. Hope this help

Cork absorb sound breakers.I know it can be used on the floor but iam not sure about walls,Check near DIY store.
i used polystyrene sheets to keep the bast@rds subsequent door happy dot and mop them on so that there is an nouns gap between them and the wall they are cheap as chips and work exceptionally well . ive have no more complaints
If all suggestions go wrong to reduce the disturbance, take a bat to the source of the nouns. Hit with the bat as regularly as needed to stop the sound.
Worked for me. Now that cat never go up on my roof again. I missed the beast respectively time (you try to hit a black cat on the roof in the middle of the hours of darkness when you are 59) but I think I get three lives spook out of the beast.

I've see people do it next to egg cartons, the bumps break up the flat wall surface so nouns is not relected and amplified back out. Another choice is peg board (with the little holes for pegs) which would be greatly faster to put up.
