does putting tin foil on your windows help cool the room?

Answers:
I wouldn't say cool the room (it can't remove heat), but if you have a direct sunlight shining into the window it will effectively reflect the heat from the sun and keep the room from heating up.

Yes it reflects the heat rays from the sun out
Sure, I like wrapping my head in it and going out into the summer sun. I call myself the Tinman
I put it in a window that gets direct sun and it helped a lot. It also keeps the room nice and dark for when my husband works nights and is sleeping during the day. I did not want the foil to show through the window so I put up white butcher paper first then the foil. That way the foil does not show on the outside it just looks like a white blind.
