try budget or u-haul. the are the cheapest. I am moving outa state next week and I checked every truck rental place and these had by far the lowest prices!!

uhaul usually has the best deals however i have heard of a few times of there trucks breakin down penske is also really good as long as they are available in your area. i would go with penske if available.

Ship your stuff UPS Ground.
In my experience U-Haul sucks as far as their trucks go. I have always used Ryder, but I like the idea od shipping your stuff Look into that and compare prices, but if you do it yourself.....I'd advise Ryder.

i have used ryder many times...their trucks are better and newer...A tip...inquire about a truck, then wait a week or so and they will recontact you with a lower price than the origional quote. and if you wait a little longer after that the will quote you an even lower quote. ive done this 3 times and it always worked...just give them a little time to worry weather they will get your biz...
A few years ago we moved some of the family from upstate New York back to the midwest. At that time I found a huge difference in price, like double or more, between the truck leasing companies. Hertz and U-Haul were almost twice what Penske got.
If you have several to choose from, shop around. It paid for me.
Penske. some friends of ours rented one a year ago and it was the best price for the distance they were moving, and the truck was nice too.
