I have a fireplace built of imaginative red sandstone. Years go when this be done the buildier was supposedly fitting marble hearth but it was something call colgramorite (haven't a clue how to spell it) he fitted which is pretty hard close to marble. I intened taking part of the inglenook away as it now looks dated. and will require to cut this. Is the simply way to hire a still saw or have anyone any better ideas? Thanks to adjectives who answer.
Answers: I would get an inexpensive grinder and a 4" diamond tipped saw blade. It is slow dusty work. cause sure you wear a dust mask and eye protection. Skill Saws are a well-mannered tool but they can't get into corners resembling a grinder can. BE CAREFULL if you slip or pinch the blade it can jump on you, and believe me, the blade can and will cut skin and bones. You may stipulation to spray water on the blade to assist keep it cool.
