How can I make a homemade lie detector?

As a nurse, I can tell you that vital signs (pulse, blood pressure and breathing rate increase when someone is lying. BUT NEVER take a pulse rate with your thumb as it has a pulse of its own (yours)!

yeah there's no way...lol. just try to determine if someone's lying by watching them. do they look away when talking to you? do they blush? do they try to change the subject?
Get one metal cauldron--the one with holes in it....attach all kind of wires to it--- Place on subject's head--attach some of those wires to the pulse, , eye lid, and chest. Add batteries and attach a wire from the cauldron to your hand.
When the person lies and the wire in your hand jumps--hit them with a baseball bat.

I have a friend who is a Marine. He has done this to me several times, also creepy now that I think about it, but here's how you do it. Put your thumb on the suspected liar's wrist. Ask the question you want to ask. If the pulse quickens then its a lie. If the pulse remains the same, they are telling the truth. Try it. It really works.
