Whirlpool Electric Cloths Dryer wont start?
I don't know if the problem is next to the timer or not. I believe it is because when the timer is set for say 60 minutes I don't catch the sound of it clicking down the minutes. I hope that I described that angelic enough. If anyone can relief me out here I would appreciate it.
Answers: There should be a wiring diagram on the support of the dryer and/or in the encyclopaedia if you have it...And remember that when checking continuity within stuff like switches/timers, you sometimes should disconnect them so you don't accidentally read thru another fragment of the circuit and get a false reading.
Use the electric wiring diagram, which will show the connections to the timer; (there are usually 4 or 5) and to the start switch and motor. That will help you trace where on earth the voltage needs to jump. Usually the timer controls both the motor and the heating component (like if there's a cool-down cycle) so make sure you're isolating the motor electrics.
Hope that helps!
