who do i take my air conditioner to that i have in my home in the window?
Answers:
If it needs to be recharged, there is a leak in it somewhere. The leak must be fixed, or you are wasting your money on recharging it. With the cost of parts and labor, you most likely will be better off just to replace the unit!

Usually, you can call an HVAC technician and they will come to your house to recharge it. They charge for this, however, they will probably charge the same amount of money if you take your air conditioner to them to have it done, and you will save the annoyance of having to take it out and then reinstall it once it is recharged.
