how to construct circular stairs?

need specifications for circular stairs as space saving and decorating application

Answers:
I can't give you specs, since you haven't supplied any info beyond your desire. The best are welded steel, though not so residentially attractive unless they are turned wrought iron or polished steel or aluminum rails, ballustrades, etc.

If you are considering this as a DIY, I'd suggest "Don't , no offense.

Certainly you can,,, Using a steel center pipe, or wooden column large enough. You still have to make each step the proper height and tread depth, plus figure shapes and angles for each, then the placement of each in the spiraling 360 from one level to the landing on the next level.

In a DIY also, and depending on how you planned to attach each step to the center, you'd have to support the outer edges of all the steps, perhaps from floor to ceiling, which would create a "cage effect" in essence.

I don't have any links, nor would I try to craft one as a DIY, primarily for safety and aesthetic reasons, but I promise you they aren't inexpensive to have created... One reason being TRENDY.

I guess if I were you, and as I advise soooooooooo many others here, I'd use the www general search in my browser, using keywords that relate.

Do you mean construct circular stairs from scratch? If so, forget about it. It would take you way too long. Would absolutely not be worth it. Just buy a circular stair kit. They go anywhere from about $500 for an inexpensive aluminum set up into the thousands for fancy wood ones. Buy a magazine like This Old House. You'll see different manufacturers advertising them in the back. Trust me...... if you're thinking about building circular stairs from scratch, just forget about it. You'd be there forever trying to finish them. They're way out of your league. Believe me.
