best and easiest way to remove gloss from a wooden door?
iv tryed using the heat gun
iv tryed sanding it
both ways is taking alot of time and effort, has any1 got an easy way of removing it?

Liquid Sandpaper sold in the paint dept of Home Centers. Brush it on clean it off and it will de-gloss the door without the elbow grease.

It is a little late to be asking if you have done this kind of damage to the present finish...you could have skip sanded the surface, applied a primer and repainted, the job would be finished, and you would have your Satin, matte, whatever finish you want.
If it isn't carved, you can scrape it with a piece of sharp glass. You will have to sand it afterwords, but it will be easier.
