Can I use any air nail gun with a porter cable compressor and hose?
Answers:
yes as long as the connector's fit and the cubic feet per minuet ( cfm ) are large enough at the needed pressure.
Other answers:
As long as the connections match it should be no problem.

Standard for a framing nailer is 120 psi if you compressor will regulate that high then you can use it. There is a "dumby" label on the side of your nailler it will tell you how high to set you max air flow.then check to see if your compressor will go that high.Porter Cable has a tendency to break down alot so I hope this is for moderate to light use.Good Luck
I like Jesse he's so dumb and doesn't even realizes it.There are THREE standard sizes of connections 3/8-1/2 and 1/4. A framing nailer NEEDS min. 110 psi to sink the nails and to advance, ever had a jam due to low pressure Jesse? You WILL blow the rings in a low pressure brad gun if the pressure is over 90 psi sound familiar Jesse. So in the short of it if you don't know what you are talking about ...THEN SAY NOTHING. Hey Jesse how much oil do you put into a magnesium cased and geared nail gun?
I am sorry folks but people like him irritate the heck out of me.
All air guns have the same standard connectors. And they basically, all use the same settings, maybe a few pounds psi this way or that way, but, close enough to 90psi to operate with.
Just make SURE you dont use any brad gun, with out the compressor on, (as I did), and the pressure goes too low, about 20psi, you will get "blow by" at the trigger, and the gun will be useless! Had to toss it in the garbage..sheesh!
I wish you well..
