Just remember, a few weeks from now no one will even remember the details of your presentation. Try to be confident - even if it is just on the surface. And if someone makes fun of you? They are just a coward who doesn't respect the fact that public speaking is scary. I doubt that anyone would say anything mean, though. Most everyone is nervous about speaking in groups. Know your material, be confident, and remember that even if this doesn't go as you would like, you'll be okay.

I am a teacher right now and the best thing to do is make sure you know what you're teaching! Practice teaching in front of your parents and have them critique you. The best thing to do is just practice and make sure you know all the information in your lesson. I have been a teacher for over a year and I still get nervous! Good Luck!

dont think about what other people will say. i was the same way in school. get up there look at the back wall and go for it.
If you live in a town. Run naked, but blindfolding throught the town streets with a "Honk If you're Horney" painted on your rear end.
After doing that - speaking in front of a bunch of people just as scared as you will be a piece of cake.
If you're unable to run naked, then start by telling a joke.
I was a wreck teaching my first class. I still freak a little in front of a crowd, however, they say eye contact is the thing to do. If you can't manage eye contact, look at their ears, look at their noses, etc. It will ease some of that. Remeber, they are just like you and may have to be in your position one day too. Don't sweat it.
when u teach.. dont look directly into their eyes but look in between their eyes.. juz say wat u noe.. if they laugh giggle or make fun of u.. juz roll ur eyes n pretend u dont care.. let them noe dat u dont care if they want to learn or not but u r juz doin wat u hv to.. dont let notice ur weakness.. tc.. al e best.. slowly.. after everythin.. u wil definetly be proud of urself.. =)
hey im pretty good at talking in public, i think most of all u need to have confidence and be SURE that you can do it. i know is easier said than done, but is something u have to build to yourself...
keep thinking that u are the one that really knows the subject, cause lets face it, your classmates wont read the lesson if someone is going to explain it. and if someone asks something u dont know, answer something different, or make up the answer.. after all, they still think that u really know what u are talking about,s icne u prepared it, and because i have to answer with confidence, strong voice, like you know what you are saying, becasue u actually do.
and if someone makes fun of u? why do u think that could happen, only if u make a mistake, lets say u pronounce wrong a word, or something like that, u should be the first one to SMILE, not laugh, at yourself, and say something like, sorry, i mean blabh blah, dont let anyone laugh at you.
confidence is the key, be sure that you can do it, and u will
hope u get an A+
First of all, you are doing the same thing everyone else is doing, so they will most likely not laugh at you because they know they might get laughed at in return. You will find everyone to be polite and accepting in a situation like this since it's stressful for all. Your apprehension is shared, and if you just present like you are talking to all your best friends that you have known for years, you will have absolutely no problems. Life is too short to worry about what other people think.. Especially because you can't probably remember what an embarrasing thing some stranger did last month was, or what they looked like if you do.
For me the key is imagining the larger context. Here's what I mean. It's one hour of your life. Your life will have approximately 650,000 hours. In that context it seems insignificant.
The fact is you write well so you are probably smarter than all the other kids in your class. Who cares what they think of you. If they had half a brain they would be worried about what you think of them.
Here is a little tip for you, picture everyone in the room in there underware. Don't say anything, stand at the front of the class and close your eyes, take a deep breath, open your eyes and then look at everyone as if they are in there underware. Don't tell any one just do it. Consider it a joke between you and your consience. Good luck, I hope this works. It did for me when I took my drivers license way back when. I got it. I had a hard time to keep form laughing.
Read, get all the information you can on the related subject you have as the subject your having that day. Relax, there will always be jokesters and dumb butts but never let them know your not prepaired. Be prepared. Read, know what you want to give to them, Who, What, When & where, never ask a questian that you, yourself can not answer. Got it. Your as smart as they are, if not on that subject, read, discuss some more.
what i DON'T do when someone ask me something i don't know. 1) i don't act like i know the answer when i don't 2) i don't feel ashamed for not knowing the answer when oi don't
What i do do is 1) syt that is a good question. I'll have to get back to you on that one. 2)somebody else ask a question i don't know...same answer...that is a good question, i'll have to get back to you on that one 3) some one ask do you not know anythin.same answer... that's a ggod question. i'll have to get back to nyouj on that one..
shuck and jive baby, just like in boxing. don't take one on the chin, when you can just shuck and jive.
shuck is to dodge the question. PLUS IT IS A TRAP WE PUT OURSELVES IN TO WHEN WE THINK WE ARE SUPPOSE TO KNOW THINGS OFF THE TOP OF OUR HEAD. I GOT IN TO SERIOUS TROUBLE MAKING UP AN ANSWER THAT I THOUGHT MIGHT BE RIGHT.WHICH IS WHEN I LEARNED ALL I HAD SO SAY IS
I DON'T KNOW, LET ME LOOK IN TO IT AND I'LL GET BACK TO YOU.
if i had uttered those words, i'd still have that job today. enstead, i shot from the hip.my soultion to the problem became worse than the original problem.
Let me present you with these 2 quotes. "If you think you can, you can. And if you think you can't, you're right" by Henry Ford and "Without faith, nothing is possible, with it, nothing is impossible" by Mary McLeod Bethune.
