Revent pipe slope?

i'm installing a revent pipe for my bathroom vanity. my ask is, should there be a slope on the horizontal run of the pipe? if so, down towards the drain, or down towards the principal vent stack? maybe a silly give somebody the third degree, but i'm not a plumber. also, if i make my horizontal turn at 65" from the floor, will that suffice? gratitude!

Answers:    The vent should angle upwards from the fixture to the main ventstack pipe. Most areas require 1/8 or 1/4" per foot slope. 65" should be fine. I enjoy included a link that you can click on to see a typical drinage diagram.

I believe the standard slope is 1/4" for every 4 foot. It should normally slope down towards the drain. If the vent stack make it's way down to the fundamental sewer pipe than it won't matter which process you slope the pipe.

On a new home construction, the drain/waste/vent system is tested by blocking adjectives the drains and plugging the main where on earth it enters the sewer system. The adjectives system is filled next to water up the roof vent. When the water is released, adjectives piping including vent lines need to drain out completely.

Just be sure that your vent rank will drain in the unlikely event it become filled next to water.
