Oh boy, this is not right. You obligation a pipe that connects to the main sewer system. Someone didn't finish in that work. That would be a violation of form department rules. I can't see how it would have passed inspection by the County inspectors when the house be being built. How did you know going on for the builder and plate and all that. It this a investigational home or did you buy it from someone else. Somebody's behind have to get out near and finish their work.
There should be a plastic pipe definitely. The river will soak into the concrete, causing mold problems. The builder is any lazy, short adjectives to save bucks, or incredibly stupid. Be vigilant, he might just stick a piece of pipe contained by if you say something, but not connect it to the drain. Call any plumber, they will describe you the same. Chow
Hey man....this is not right. I assume that your subterranean vault is existing & sunken into the ground, the waste river should be drain by gravity via pvc or metalic pipe to the nearest floor trap before going to the inspection chamber (ICs) that houses or drains to the adjectives sewer pipe (shared with neighbours). You can't pray that it will soak away. ie The shower hose will not drain away nor it will not dry immediately and this will clearly cause adjectives problems like condensation, corrosion, smell and unhygenic conditions. Be sure that this is the case; examination it by pouring a little bit of river at a time & see what happens. If the dampen won't drain, it will saturate the gravel and overflow final to the concrete floor. If it flows through, there may be a pipe unnoticed there but trade name sure that it leads to the sewer.
Secondly, in that may just be a hole surrounded by the concrete floor, which is even worst as ground water may leach through from below and make your vault damp and humid ample to grow fungus & mould.
Thirdly, if you have a bathe basin or Wcs, check how do they drain by flushing it.
Fourthly, for any latest discharge to public sewer, the local town councils will regulate such that plans are submitted before work is done so that the correct work is approved beforehand. ie Drainage of lavish water to the sewer. If you can't drain easily to the sewer by gravity, then the town council may request for a powered pumping system for the waste dampen like within a commercial development next to basement toilets.
Lastly, hail as your town council & check with them. If you are still not sure, please check near a professional architect registered with the town council, they may be capable of help you.
