What is sanded grout? Can I use it fixing the small dent on wall?
Thanks,
Answers:
A sanded grout is used in ceramic tile projects. You prep it with water until it is creamy and you apply it in the space between tiles. Depending on the size of the dents at the walls of your son's bedroom, you might need to use patch n paint spackling paste for small damages up to the size of a dime or joint compound for large ones the size of quarter. Anything more than that you might have to use drywall patches that you need to finish with several coats of joint compound. good luck!!

No, I wouldn't use grout. Too gritty for just a flat wall spot. I would only use it between tiles. And not joint compound either.
You can get a small, inexpensive tub of spackle and apply it nice and flat and smooth, of course you will have to repaint.

sanded grout if for tile, you want sheet rock compound light weight weight compound. its about 5 dollars at a hardware store you just apply with a puddy knife, let dry over night and go over it again to smooth it out, let it dry again. Then use light sand paper and paint. Good as new.
Sanded grout is used on the floor inbetween tile. It is grout that already has the sand in it.
Do not use this on your wall it will not fill the holes or dents. You will need the putty from the store. There are different types. Just get a the smallest amount you may need and a putty knife. Smear a goop of it over the dent, pushing it in the space. Smooth the top even with the wall using the edge of the putty knife. If your wall is textured then do not smooth the putty, try to imitate the texture that is on the wall as best as you can. Practice on a board first if you doubt yourself. It does not have to be perfect only similar once painted you wont notice. This is really important, I can't stand to see peoples walls that have the obvious "patches" on them where the wall is textured and then all the sudden big "flat spots".
If it is a large dent you may need to do this in two different stages. Let dry completely then paint with matching paint. You will not believe how easy it is to patch walls. Now they even make these sprays that help you to acheive the right texture. Just ask the guy at Lowes, they always seem to be happy to help there. All these supplies can be found near the paints.
